My name is Riley Vodicka and I am a May 2023 graduate from Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania (Bloomsburg University) majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education. I am certified in Early Childhood Education Pk-4. I will begin my Master's in Gifted Education at Millersville University in Fall of 2025.

I have volunteered and been employed in various childcare settings since 2014. While working with infant through young adults, I have discovered my favorite age group to work with is 5-8 year old students.

Currently, I am a 1st/2nd grade teacher for York City School District's STEAM Academy where I have began to hone my skills as an educator over the past two years. I have been able to participate in professional development in various topics including project based learning. I have also had the opportunity to supervise the afterschool program over the past school year. My favorite part of teaching is building rapport with my students. I enjoy the 'AH-HA' moments of understanding new information and patiently working with students to achieve behavior-based goals.
